A well-established wholesale industrial distribution organization is seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager to lead and execute all HR functions across multi-state operations. This role serves as a critical link between management and employees, providing both strategic HR leadership and hands-on execution across the entire employee lifecycle.This is an execution-focused role suited for an HR professional who thrives in an operational environment. The successful candidate will build, manage, and continuously improve HR processes, while supporting day-to-day business operations.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable operating with a high level of ownership, balancing transactional HR responsibilities with system improvement, compliance, and accountability.Key Responsibilities to includeExecute HR activities across the full employee lifecycleManage recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, and performance management processesSupport employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigationsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA) and maintain accurate HRIS recordsOversee benefits administration and workers' compensation claimsPartner with operational leadership on safety programs and incident reportingSupport payroll accuracy, attendance tracking, and policy developmentAdvise managers and senior leadership on HR policies and organizational mattersPrepare and deliver presentations to employees and governance groups as neededSupervise HR staffTravel occasionally as requiredRequired QualificationsMinimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or senior HR generalist roleHands-on experience across all major HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, policy development, HR planning, and employee relationsExperience supporting operational, warehouse, sales, and technical employee populationsProven ability to partner effectively with management and report to senior leadershipExperience supervising a small HR teamStrong knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulationsExcellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in human resources, business, psychology or related field.HRCI and/or SHRM professional certification
