Ambulatory, Acute Care, and Critical Care patients arriving from home, the emergency department, and from the inpatient setting are prepared for surgery and other procedures in the department. Patients are also recovered from anesthesia after their surgeries/procedures and transitioned to the inpatient setting or discharged home from 6A. The unit is staffed 24/7 and uses call to support nights, weekends, and holidays.
