DutiesTitleMath, Science, Spanish, and English/Writing Academic TutorsDESCRIPTIONMarian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois, is seeking part-time academic tutors to work in our tutoring center for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, from late August through late May.Hours Daily: 7:30-2:20 PMTutor responsibilities include:become familiar with Marian Catholic's curriculum and expectationsexplaining key concepts to studentsguiding students to help them complete their homeworkstudying with students for assessmentsreviewing students' time management and executive functioning skillscommunicating with teachers and counselors regarding how to best serve studentsQualificationsThe ideal candidate will:be joyful, flexible, communicative, collaborative, and tech savvyenjoy working with students to foster a healthy, supportive learning environmentbe well-versed in modern teaching methods, including the use of the iPad in the classroom and the use of ZoomPossess a Bachelor's degree in English or Writing, Biology or Chemistry, Math, or a Foreign Language (Spanish or Latin)have experience working with teens in an academic settinghave extensive knowledge of relevant high school topicsSalary/BenefitsSalary: $130/dayAdditional NotesThese positions are part-time and receive a stipend, with individuals receiving payment via invoicing through federal Title programs.
