A/V Technician (part-time)

Overview Placement Type Temporary Salary $30-35 Hourly DOE Start Date May 18, 2026 We are seeking a reliable Audio/Video Technician to support the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio and visual equipment for events, meetings, and other operations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly in a live environment. You must be comfortable working with C-suite-level personalities and be able to work onsite in Milwaukee Key Responsibilities Set up, test, operate, and break down audio/visual equipment including microphones, speakers, projectors, displays, and video conferencing systems Provide on-site technical support for meetings, presentations, and events Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV systems in real time Coordinate with event planners, clients, and internal teams to ensure AV needs are met Perform routine maintenance and updates on AV equipment Ensure proper cable management and safe equipment handling Maintain inventory of AV equipment and report any damage or malfunctions Train end-users on basic AV system operation when needed Qualifications Proven experience as an AV Technician or in a similar technical support role Strong knowledge of audio, video, and lighting systems Familiarity with video conferencing platforms and control systems Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to lift and move equipment (up to [0 lbs) and work on-site for extended periods Preferred Skills Experience with digital mixing consoles and signal flow Knowledge of networking basics related to AV systems Understanding of livestream software like OBS, VMix, or Wirecast Understanding of Blackmagic Design hardware Work Environment On-site role requiring physical setup and teardown of equipment May include evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules LI-LC2
