This is an opportunity to be part of a mission-driven organization where your work directly contributes to safer, more supportive environments.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate industrial sewing machines to assemble fabric and upholstery components according to production specificationsRead and interpret work orders, patterns, and production schedules to ensure accurate outputSew, stitch, and assemble materials with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detailInspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met; identify and report defects or inconsistenciesMaintain proper thread tension, stitch quality, and machine settings for various materials and product typesPerform routine machine maintenance such as cleaning, oiling, and minor adjustments to ensure optimal performanceMeet daily and weekly production targets while maintaining high-quality workmanshipHandle and organize materials efficiently to minimize waste and downtimeFollow all safety procedures and guidelines when operating equipment and handling materialsKeep workstations clean, organized, and free of hazardsCollaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues and improve workflowAssist in training new employees on sewing techniques, equipment use, and production standards as neededQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. This role will be exposed to very high and low temperatures. There will be high levels of noise as well as dust particles in the air.Physical requirementsThis role will be required to sit and perform role for up 10 hours a day. Ability to repetitively lift large spools of fabric pieces.
