Job Type: Full-TimeJob OverviewAmerican House is seeking a Fleet Compliance Manager (Automotive) to lead and oversee all aspects of our transportation fleet safety, compliance, and operational efficiency across our senior living communities.This role is critical to ensuring that our resident transportation programs are safe, compliant, and reliable, while also driving cost-effective fleet operations and delivering an exceptional experience for residents and team members.If you have experience in vehiclefleet management, DOT compliance, driver safety programs, and regulatory oversight, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a mission-driven healthcare environmentKey Responsibilities?? Fleet Operations & MaintenanceManage the full lifecycle of the company's vehicle fleet, including procurement, utilization, maintenance, inspections, and replacement planningMaintain accurate fleet records including registration, titling, insurance, licensing, and inventory trackingOversee preventive maintenance programs and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtimeImplement fleet optimization strategies (fuel efficiency, telematics, cost controls)Monitor fleet through GPS/telematics systems to improve utilization and driver behaviorManage third-party vendors and negotiate contracts for maintenance and fleet services????? Driver Training, Certification & ComplianceDesign and lead driver training programs, including: Defensive drivingADA resident assistanceEmergency and incident responseEnsure all drivers maintain valid licenses, certifications, and compliance documentationMaintain driver qualification files in accordance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and state regulationsConduct audits of driver logs, background checks, and training completionMonitor driver performance and partner with HR to provide coaching or corrective actionServe as primary liaison with driver record and compliance vendors?? Safety & Risk ManagementLead investigations into vehicle accidents, incidents, and resident transport concernsPartner with Risk Management and HR on claim documentation and insurance processesAnalyze incident trends and safety data to drive continuous improvementEnsure vehicles meet all safety, ADA accessibility, and emergency equipment requirementsConduct routine compliance audits across communitiesSupport drug and alcohol testing programs and vendor coordinationDevelop and enhance emergency response protocols?? Policy, Reporting & Continuous ImprovementMaintain and enforce fleet and driver compliance policiesBuild and track fleet KPIs (cost, utilization, safety, compliance metrics)Partner with Finance on budgeting and lifecycle planningStay current on federal and state transportation regulationsDeliver quarterly performance reporting to leadershipDrive initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction and transportation reliabilityQualifications? Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of fleet management experience, preferably across multiple locations or statesExperience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality transportation operations strongly preferredProven success in: Fleet compliance and regulatory oversightDriver training and safety programsVendor and contract management? Knowledge & SkillsStrong knowledge of: DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, ADA regulationsState and local transportation lawsExperience with fleet management systems, telematics, and reporting toolsAbility to analyze data and drive continuous improvement initiativesStrong collaboration skills with HR, Operations, and Risk Management teams?
