Travel RN - Telemetry - Intermediate Care

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMCU) Night Shift position at a hospital in Portland, ME, requiring a minimum of 2 years of IMC experience and at least one prior travel assignment.Job Details• Work in a 12-bed Intermediate Medical Care (IMCU) unit within a 36-bed combined IMC/Med-Surg floor (R9),• Patient population includes respiratory, medical telemetry, surgical, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and acute-on-chronic medical conditions,• Patient ratio is 1:3 on the IMC side; when floating to the med-surg side, ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights,• Equipment used includes telemetry monitors, BiPAP, high-flow O2, and insulin drips for DKA protocol,• EMR: Epic,• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM,• Weekend hours required as needed,• No on-call requirements,• Floating required to similar units at IMC level or lower as needed, with a 25-mile float policy between facilities,• 13-week contract,Job Requirements• Active ME RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,• Current BLS certification required,• Minimum 2 years of IMC or higher-level nursing experience,• At least one prior travel assignment at med-surg level or higher required,• IMC travel experience preferred,• Valid Driver's License required for consideration,• SSN and DOB required for consideration,• 2 professional references required for consideration,Additional Information• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (including residents of Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and are subject to a different bill rate,• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions,• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this when applying,• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position,• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; unprofessional clothing and non-hospital logo shirts are not permitted,• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited,
