As we experience a phase of substantial growth, Exhale House is seeking a Color Specialist to join our team of professionals. This role is best suited for a mid-career color specialist who values structure, collaboration, and craftsmanship, and who is excited to grow within a small, intentional team rather than lead or manage one. Our salon is small by design. Fewer chairs, softer voices, real relationships. This isn't a frantic beauty environment it's a boutique space built on integrity, respect, and the kind of service that stays with people. We Believe In: Warm, attentive hospitality Ethical, high-standard extension work Emotional regulation and professionalism Supportive communication Transparency and clear expectations Craftsmanship that favors quality over speed Creating a peaceful space where both guests and stylists can breathe What We Offer: Hourly base pay (based on experience) + clearly defined performance-based bonuses tied to service excellence, consistency, and contribution to the team Signing bonus for eligible candidates Retail/product commissions Attractive benefits package (details shared during your interview) Primary Responsibilities Include: Provide exceptional color & salon experience to every and all clientele Craft dimensional colorthink California blondes, lived-in blondes, rich espresso brunettes Confidently execute cutting and shaping to complement extension work Collaborate with our founder and extension specialist on transformational client plans Maintain a clean, elevated, detail-obsessed station and shared salon environment Keep up to date on all current hair cutting/styling trends Lead or assist in consultations, offering expert guidance with vision and versatility Support the team with flexibility, professionalism, and care as we grow Successful Candidates Must Have: California Cosmetology License Three years behind the chair with advanced color education is preferred You value reliability, clear communication, and honoring commitments to both clients and your team You care just as much about the client experience as the final result You're emotionally intelligent, reliable, and well-spoken You're confident in your craft, but always open to growth You're curious about extensions and open to cross-training If you're looking for a calm, intentional salon where excellence is expected, communication is clear, and growth is supported we'd love to hear from you.
