You'll have direct partnership with the CEO, full ownership of the people function, and the chance to build this from scratch.What You'll DoPerformance CultureBuild company-wide performance metrics and KPIs — clear, measurable, role-specificCreate and manage a consistent performance rating framework; calibrate all managers so scores mean somethingMake sure every employee has clear goals and knows whether they're on trackHelp managers set expectations directly and deliver honest, timely feedback — train them to do it wellOwn the performance improvement process end to end — PIPs, documentation, and outcomesEnsure high performers are recognized and rewarded; build a culture where performance is visible and valuedDrive management and leadership development so our managers are world-class coaches, not just taskmastersCulture & EngagementDefine and reinforce Forza's core values in daily operations — not just on the wallRun regular eNPS surveys and translate the data into real changesRecognize employees for tenure, birthdays, and key milestones in a way that feels genuineCoordinate team events and culture touchpoints when they're warrantedServe as the on-site face of HR — the first person employees come to, and the one who routes them to HR Systems when neededRetention & DevelopmentBuild individual growth plans for each employee — where they're headed and what Forza is committing to get them thereUnderstand what employees want from Forza; build retention strategies around itOwn onboarding — structured 30/60/90 day plans that set people up to win from day oneIdentify internal candidates for growth and build clear paths to the next levelTrack skills gaps across the org; close them through targeted development or strategic hiringTalent AcquisitionPartner with department managers to write accurate, compelling job descriptionsOwn the full recruiting cycle — sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and managing offersDo proactive outreach to candidates before roles are open — build the bench in advanceHold the hiring bar; push back when it slipsBuild and maintain an ongoing pipeline of quality candidates across key rolesOwn Forza's employer brand on LinkedIn and our website — make sure it reflects who we are and attracts who we wantCompensation & RewardsBenchmark compensation across all roles and make sure we're at or above market for A playersBuild and manage a fair, performance-tied bonus structureAdminister the commission program and flag when it's not rewarding the right behaviorsLead the annual review process — scheduling, calibration, and communicationMake sure every employee understands their total comp, how it was set, and how they can grow itHR OperationsServe as the primary liaison between Forza and HR Systems for payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee recordsMaintain accurate HR documentation, the employee handbook, and policiesPartner with HR Systems on disciplinary processes, terminations, and exit interviewsYou're the right fit if you:Have 5+ years in HR or talent leadership — manufacturing or high-growth preferredHave built performance management systems, not just inherited themPush back when hiring managers want to settleLead with direct feedback, not bureaucracyCan operate strategically and still get your hands dirty
