Process Engineer
· Description:
o Need someone with Stamping experience – Automotive Stamping is preferred
o Need 3 – 5 years’ experience candidate
o Should be good with Catia or equivalent tools and MS office
o Need great communication skills, would be working with cross functional team
o Ability to travel to support at other locations, domestic and international; 50% travel to other sites in USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan and locally at vendor sites.
o Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to perform functions. – (Average 2 weekend working but can change based on business needs, average: 50 – 60 hours working in a week)
o High possibility of extension after 12 months so look for someone who can commit to stay longer

Job Description:
o Responsible for the design, manufacturing, confirmation, and launch of dies & equipment used to make high quality automotive sheet metal body panels and parts for new model introduction.
o Support and documentation of model launch at North American manufacturing plants for process setup, die trials, and milestone activities.
o Key departmental indicators are part safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
Duties include:
o Process confirmation (process sheet and die design reviews)
o Monitor the design process and provide input to the design
o Monitor die construction and provide direction for problem resolution of any issues that may occur
o Develop and implement plans to function check the dies in offline and home line presses
o Confirm and track part quality and die performance in detail through the new model launch phases
o Develop and implement specific countermeasures (Die Manufacturing Requests) to improve part quality by modification to the dies
o Confirm all aspects of die function to ensure robust processes are handed over to the home manufacturing facility
o Attend to all aspects of assigned panels and parts and related tooling and die development
o Die tryout lead onsite and countermeasure direction setting
o Trial readiness confirmation with Die Manufacturing and plant pilot team, safety
o Quality and productivity confirmation of die and part
o Documentation of activities and handover to manufacturing plant
o Reflection of part activities and launch activities after handover with focus on process kaizen to implement into future projects
Requirements:
o Experience using Catia, AutoCAD, C3 or another 3D design tool is preferable along with strong MS Office knowledge and technical writing skills.
o Bachelor's Tech degree or equivalent experience.
o Good communication skills to work in a team environment with internal and external customers.
o Fundamental knowledge of mechanics of materials.
o Fundamental knowledge of tooling and machining.
o 3-5 years of experience in Stamping (die structure/ function).
o Ability to travel to support at other locations, domestic and international; 50% travel to other sites in USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan and locally at vendor sites.
o Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to perform functions

Pay: $64,846.69 - $86,428.85 per year
