Restaurant Manager - Maroon

JOB DESCRIPTION:Maroon is built on the story of the Jamaican Maroons, the concept embodies the spirit of resilience, resourcefulness, and the determination reflected in the Maroons' history and in the origins of jerk cooking, which emerged from survival, adaptation, and ingenuity. Chef Kwame Onwuachi is a "James Beard Award winning American Chef" known for his bold, modern expression of Afro-Caribbean and West African-influenced cuisine. Chef Kwame's mission is not only to serve food, but to create spaces that honor identity, empower communities, unities, and make guests feel connected to a larger cultural story.JOB FOCUS:Focus is on, but not limited to the following:• Must be ALL ABOUT THE TEAM!• Must "Put the Guest "1st"• You must say "yes" and "thank you" often!• Must love and support their TEAM!• Must love and take care of ALL Guest!• Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling and retention• Evaluate and develop processes to maintain and improve performance and productivity• Assists in maintaining standards of health, safety and sanitation• Directly responsible for the coaching and development of venue staff• Administers progressive discipline and attendance points according to company policy• Defines Employees Standards of Conduct and ensures employee compliance• Manage day-to-day operations, including floor management, staff management and the guest experience• Understands P&L analysis, develops processes to maintain and improve performance• Assists with creation and maintenance of procedural protocol for venue operations• Responsible to liaise with and assist other SAHARA Las Vegas Teams• Promotes SAHARA Las Vegas' positive cultureDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AN EXCEPTIONAL PERSONALITY, ATTITUDE AND EXCELLENT VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS. THEY MUST ALSO BE POLISHED, PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, AND HAVE THE ABILITY TO MULTITASK AND TAKE INITIATIVE IN A FAST-PACED, HIGH PRESSURE, DEADLINE DRIVEN ENVIRONMENT.• 2 Years of Hospitality Industry experience required, educational experience considered• The ability to maintain a "sense of urgency" attitude for the completion of responsibilities/tasks• Superior organizational and follow up skills with extreme attention to detail• Strong email, PC and Internet skills- including MS Word, Excel. Power Point and Outlook• Dedication and willingness to go above and beyond in a hospitality driven environment• Strong guest service, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and leadership skillsJOB ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
