This is a hybrid HR and office management role that keeps our team running, our culture humming, and our NYC office firing on all cylinders. You’ll split your time roughly 50% HR / 50% office operations and executive support, partnering closely with our founders to build the systems and rituals that scale a high-performing team.This is an in-person role for someone who thrives on ownership, moves fast, and notices the small things before anyone else does.Location: New York City, in-office 5 days a weekHours: Monday–Thursday 9am-7pm | Friday 9am-5pmWhat You’ll DoPeople & HR (50%)Write and maintain the company handbook, covering policies, culture, and people practicesSupport onboarding so new hires ramp quickly and feel set up for success from day oneServe as a trusted resource for employee questions, concerns, and career developmentRoll out and manage our performance review system, ensuring manager compliance and timely cyclesDrive employee retention: execute on culture initiatives and keep company morale highOwn end-to-end planning of our annual company retreatOffice & Executive Support (50%)Own day-to-day operations of our NYC office — facilities, supplies, vendors, and overall environmentManage complex calendaring and scheduling for the executive team, including cross-timezone coordinationProvide administrative support to the founders, including travel booking, expense tracking, and ad hoc researchServe as the first point of contact for office-related needs and help build a strong in-office cultureCoordinate team events, offsites, and meetings — logistics through executionOwn onboarding logistics for new hires: workspace setup, equipment, and the day-one experiencePartner with finance and legal on vendor contracts, invoices, and office-related spendIdentify process gaps and proactively implement solutions before being askedWhat We’re Looking For3+ years in HR, executive assistant, or office management roles — ideally a mix of bothHighly organized with sharp attention to detail; nothing slips through the cracksStrong written and verbal communicator who can build trust across every level of the orgProactive operator who spots problems early and solves them without being askedDiscreet and trustworthy with sensitive information (comp, performance, personnel matters)Energized by an in-person, fast-moving startup environmentBonus: prior experience scaling a people function from the early stagesFull benefits included.
