Director of Labor & Delivery Seattle, Washington Employment Type:Full-TimeUnder the direction of theExecutive Director of Operationsand theChief Nursing Officer , theDirector of Labor & Deliveryprovides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the inpatient Labor and Delivery units on the First Hill campus. This role is accountable for delivering results aligned with theQuadruple Aimwhile advancing apatient-centered, high-reliability care model . The Director collaborates closely with campus and regional leadership, medical directors, and shared services to transform Labor & Delivery services, improve clinical outcomes, reduce care variation, and enhance care coordination across the continuum.The Director serves as the focused clinical leader ensuring alignment with regional standards of care while driving operational excellence, fiscal responsibility, physician collaboration, and regulatory compliance.Required QualificationsEducation Master’s Degree required Nursing (MSN) Healthcare Administration (MHA) Business Administration (MBA) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)required if Master’s degree is not in Nursing. Licensure Active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license(upon hire) Nursing Leadership Certificationrequired within2 years of hireExperience Minimum 5+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience Leadership experience withinLabor & Delivery or Women’s Services preferred Experience managingcomplex hospital operations Experience working in aunionized healthcare environment Proven success drivingclinical quality and operational improvementsLeadership Competencies Strongfinancial and operational management skills Expertise inbudgeting, reimbursement, and cost management Experience withdata analytics, benchmarking, and performance dashboards Proven ability to lead change usingLean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies Excellentcommunication and physician partnership skills Strongconflict resolution and stakeholder management abilities Demonstratedservant leadership mindset
