Dotmatics Implementation Consultant Tarrytown, NY - Hybrid (3 Days Onsite) Contract-to-Hire We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Informatics Technical Consultant with strong experience supporting and implementing Dotmatics solutions within scientific and research-driven environments. This role is highly technical and execution-oriented, requiring a hands-on professional who can independently drive implementation activities, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver scalable solutions aligned with laboratory and business operations. The consultant will collaborate with global delivery teams and cross-functional stakeholders to translate scientific and operational requirements into robust technical solutions. This individual will play a key role in solution quality, technical oversight, and ongoing platform optimization while supporting teams operating across U.S. business hours. Key Responsibilities Configure, customize, and support Dotmatics applications and integrations in enterprise laboratory environments. Troubleshoot complex platform and data-related issues through hands-on technical analysis and problem-solving. Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and backend database components. Design and review relational database structures, including normalization, table relationships, and data integrity considerations. Translate scientific workflows and business processes into scalable technical solutions. Validate implementations to ensure alignment with architecture standards, maintainability, and operational best practices. Serve as a technical escalation point for platform-related issues and implementation decisions. Independently manage assigned technical tasks with minimal oversight. Support ongoing operational activities and incident resolution during EST business hours. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with distributed technical teams to align on design approaches, timelines, and delivery expectations. Provide technical guidance and peer reviews to support successful implementation efforts. Work closely with business analysts, scientific stakeholders, and internal teams to clarify and refine requirements. Participate in technical discussions with stakeholders to support solution design and implementation planning. Preferred Technical Background Hands-on experience with Dotmatics or comparable laboratory informatics/LIMS platforms. Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development experience. Strong understanding of relational database design and data modeling concepts. Experience supporting implementations within scientific, pharmaceutical, biotech, or laboratory environments preferred.
