Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) AdministratorFull-Time | Direct Hire | Automotive ManufacturingA leading Tier 1 automotive supplier in Tecumseh, Michigan is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Administrator to support and continuously improve all aspects of the plant's environmental, health, and safety programs. This is a highly visible role that partners with plant leadership to promote a safe, compliant, and proactive manufacturing environment while ensuring compliance with OSHA, ISO 14001, and corporate EHS standards.This position offers competitive compensation, bonus potential, excellent benefits, paid holidays, and paid vacation.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and administer all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs for the facility.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, ISO 14001 standards, corporate policies, and applicable environmental and safety legislation.Lead implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental initiatives.Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.Assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.Manage Workers' Compensation administration, documentation, and case coordination.Develop, coordinate, and deliver employee safety training programs and onboarding.Maintain and update EHS policies, procedures, work instructions, and ISO 14001 documentation.Coordinate annual environmental and safety objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.Track, analyze, and report EHS metrics, incident trends, and key performance indicators.Support Joint Health & Safety Committee activities and serve as a technical resource for plant leadership.Coordinate environmental management system documentation and regulatory reporting requirements.Communicate safety alerts, incident bulletins, and best practices throughout the facility.Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while supporting 5S initiatives across the plant.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.3-5+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment (automotive manufacturing preferred).Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ISO 14001, environmental compliance, and workplace safety programs.Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.Experience managing Workers' Compensation claims and injury reporting.Ability to develop and deliver engaging safety training programs.Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence employees at all levels of the organization.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).Preferred ExperienceAutomotive manufacturing experience.Experience supporting ISO 14001 certification and environmental management systems.Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and 5S principles.Experience tracking EHS KPIs and regulatory reporting.
