Senior Staff Accountant

General Job DescriptionWe are seeking a qualified Senior Staff Accountant to provide financial information and reports for the organization by maintaining, analyzing, preparing, and monitoring journal entries, the general ledger, and internal accounts. The ideal candidate for the Staff Accountant position is bright, attentive, and efficient with self-assurance and the ability to complete work skillfully in accordance with company policies, procedures, and processes.ResponsibilitiesPerform general cost accounting and other related dutiesPrepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statementsMaintain the general ledgerReconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banksReconcile cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accountsVerify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accountsAnalyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses.Check and verify invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly booksImplement training for new hires and identifies training opportunities for current staffDirect the finance work of support staffCollaborate with external accounting firm as neededAssist external accounting firm and provide required statements and information for the annual review and corporate tax returnsEnsure that financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or financial reporting standardsEnsures compliance with local, state and federal government regulationsMaintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and proceduresOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance requiredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) license required4 or more years of experience requiredOther RequirementsAbility to perform tasks in a seated position for extended periodsKeyboarding for extended periodsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize tasksAbility to lift up to 15 pounds at timesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficientlyBenefits401(k) matchingHealth insurance and HSAVoluntary life insuranceDental and vision insuranceST/LT disabilityPaid time off and holidaysCritical illnessAccidental death and disabilityItar RequirementsThe Technology House (TTH) has a responsibility to comply with all applicable requirements set forth by International Traffic Arms Regulations, or ITAR (22 CFR 120-130).
