Description Senior Financial Reporting Accountant Youngstown, OH CPA REQUIRED Salary Range: $105,000 The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the Company's financial reporting and general ledger activities. This role plays a critical part in the monthly close process, financial statement preparation, balance sheet integrity, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with strong technical accounting skills, experience managing complex reconciliations and financial reporting, and the ability to operate independently in a deadline-driven environment. Essential Functions: General Ledger & Close Process Lead assigned components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entriesMaintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledgerEnforce standardized close procedures and documentation Financial Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAPAnalyze financial results and investigate variances from budget and prior periodsSupport preparation of financial reporting schedules and disclosuresMaintain consistency and accuracy in financial reporting across entities Technical Accounting & Compliance Research and apply U.S. GAAP to accounting transactions and reporting issuesAssist with implementation of new accounting standards and policiesEnsure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls Balance Sheet & Account Ownership Ensure timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliationsPerform detailed account analysis and reconciliation reviewsIdentify and resolve discrepancies proactively Audit & Internal Controls Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditorsRespond to audit inquiries in a timely and professional mannerEnsure compliance with internal control requirementsAssist in strengthening accounting controls and documentation Process Improvement & Systems Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting processesAssist in developing standardized procedures and workflowsSupport system implementations, upgrades, and automation initiatives Benefits for Employee & Family:Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield Medical CoverageDental and Vision401K Company MatchPaid Vacation and HolidaysCompany Paid Life InsuranceShort-Term/Long-Term DisabilityRoom for growth!
