Dining Room SupervisorThe Dining Room Supervisor leads servers to deliver services with a hospitality focus in accordance with all laws, regulations and company standards. Reports to the Dining Services Director.Dining Room DutiesSets up dining room meeting company hospitality standards: proper linen, table settings, supplies in place, etc.Plans, decorates and assists with set up for fine dining programPurchases flowers for dining room and sets arrangementsProvides appropriate lighting and temperature in dining room for residents' comfortConducts pre meal menu review meeting with serversAssigns stations and cleaning/prep work for serversGreets and seats residents and visitors in a welcoming mannerPicks up menus and assists resident requiring help filling out menusChecks for beverage refills timelyMaintains hostess sheets and meal charges ensuring accurate meal counts are delivered to business officeEnsures food is served with appropriate serving techniquesEnsures room service trays are prepared and delivered timelyDirects and guides servers during meal service and clean upStrips and resets tables as needed during serving timesRemoves soiled linens and places in designated laundry areasRemoves trash and keeps dining room clean, dry and free of safety hazardsPrepares for next meal: clean tables, wipe out chairs, fill condiment containers, mop, sweep, etc.Ensures servers follow established safety guidelinesAssists servers with meal delivery as neededOversees meal service for portions, temperature and presentation in the absence of the Dining Services DirectorWorks with Dining Services Director to ensure communication and teamwork between kitchen staff and serversWorks with Dining Services Director and Sales Director to ensure flawless execution of contracted eventsMaintains a monthly calendar of special dining activities and mealsServes as hostess for special eventsSupervisory RequirementsAssists Dining Services Director with scheduling department hoursProvides continuous, on the spot training and support for serversServes as an effective role modelMaintains and approachable management styleAdditional RequirementsMust enjoy serving seniorsMust demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitalityMust maintain resident and guest relations through a courteous, cooperative and understanding mannerMust demonstrate trustworthiness and dependabilityMust work efficiently and effectively with little to no supervisionMust demonstrate effective communication skillsMust reasonably accommodate resident preferences in dining servicesMust be able to receive and resolve complaints graciouslyMust always be in proper attire and well groomedDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Century Park's Code of Ethics and completes all required compliance trainingWho We AreAt Century Park Associates, we are dedicated to creating an enriching lifestyle for our residents and a rewarding work environment for our valued associates.
