Staff Mechnical Engineer - robotics
We’re hiring a Staff Mechanical Engineer / Technical Lead to help define the future of robotics. This is a rare opportunity to lead the mechanical architecture of a next-generation humanoid robot platform, owning critical upper-body systems including the torso, arms, and head assemblies. The role sits at the intersection of advanced robotics, industrial design, and high-density electromechanical integration — requiring someone equally comfortable with kinematics, structural design, thermal packaging, and translating visionary product design into manufacturable hardware. What you’ll be working on:Leading architecture and development of complex robotic upper-body systemsDesigning high-DOF mechanisms and dynamic robotic structuresSolving extremely challenging packaging problems involving compute, batteries, sensors, cooling, and harnessingDriving Class-A surfacing and integration between engineering and industrial design teamsDeveloping robust chassis structures capable of handling real-world impact and operational loadsLeading DVT, lifecycle testing, and system-level validation activitiesMentoring engineers and influencing cross-functional technical directionWhat we’re looking for:Strong background designing robotic arms, humanoids, or highly dynamic electromechanical systemsExpertise in CAD and surfacing tools such as NX, Catia, or SolidWorksExperience with complex subsystem integration in constrained environmentsStrong understanding of structural mechanics, thermal constraints, and cable/harness routingAbility to lead through influence in highly cross-functional engineering environmentsBackground in robotics, aerospace, automotive, consumer hardware, or related advanced hardware industriesIdeal experience includes:Humanoid roboticsHigh-performance mechatronicsWearables/exoskeletonsAutomotive interiors or ruggedized electronics packagingAdvanced robotic manipulation systemsIf you’re interested in shaping the physical architecture of cutting-edge robotic systems, feel free to reach out directly for a confidential conversation.
