Security Officer

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in military or law enforcement and possess relevant certifications in security-related fields. Responsibilities - Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules - Patrol assigned areas on foot or vehicle to ensure security - Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances - Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences - Warn violators of rule infractions and apprehend or evict violators if necessary - Escort individuals off the premises when required Skills - Experience in militaristic or law enforcement roles is preferred - Proficiency in operating CCTV systems for surveillance purposes - Possession of relevant security certificates is a plus - First aid and CPR certification is beneficial - Strong conflict management skills - Knowledge of loss prevention techniques - Ability to conduct surveillance effectively Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.90 - $21.60 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Schedule: 10 hour shift 4 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Ability to Relocate: Norfolk, VA: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: On the road
