Senior Litigation Attorney

We are seeking an associate attorney with 5+ years of experience handling personal injury defense to join our growing team! You will handle a variety of cases representing owners, developers, managers, contractors, design professionals, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and other private, municipal and educational corporations. Experience handling construction accident/NYS Labor Law cases a plus. Salary range is $140,000-$185,000, commensurate with experience.Responsibilities:Conduct investigation.Analyze investigation/claim materials.Review contracts and construction records.Liability analysis.Analyze medical records.Evaluate case value based on damages.Prepare case evaluation reports.Prepare litigation budgets.Attend court conferences, hearings and depositions.Prepare pleadings, discovery and other legal papers.Prepare discovery, dispositive and other motions.Prepare appeal recommendation reports.Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration or trial.Supervise paralegals working on the attorney’s cases.Qualifications:Previous experience personal injury defense.Must have NY Labor Law Construction Accident experience.Ability to build rapport with clients.Familiarity with insurance claims materials.Strong legal research skills.Strong investigation skills.Strong negotiation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience in using the ABA Uniform Task-Based Management System in budgeting and accounting for attorney time.Admitted to NYS bar.Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveVision insuranceJob Type: Full-timeWork Location: Hybrid remote in New York, NY 10005
