About the roleAs the Facilities Generalist, you will provide support with all facility administration for a customer dedicated warehouse/staging center office. The Facilities Generalist carries out commercial and technical tasks related to building and facility management operations. The work is carried out largely independently while ensuring adherence to defined quality and safety standards. Your professionalism is vital to make our customers, vendors, employees and guests feel like their needs, concerns and questions are taken care of.What you'll be doingBuilding OperationsDaily facility walk-throughs and inspectionsMonitor HVAC, lighting, dock equipment, doors, and warehouse infrastructureCoordinate repairs and maintenance activitiesTrack facility work orders and ensure completionManage preventive maintenance schedulesVendor ManagementEscort and supervise contractorsCoordinate janitorial, landscaping, pest control, HVAC, security, and maintenance vendorsVerify work completion and approve service reportsTrack vendor compliance and insurance certificatesSafety & SecurityConduct weekly/monthly safety inspectionsMonitor emergency exits, fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and first aid suppliesSupport OSHA compliance activitiesParticipate in emergency response and incident investigationsMaintain facility documentation and inspection recordsManage badge access systems & review access requestsCoordinate with security vendors & assist with investigations involving building accessPartner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core valuesWarehouse SupportCoordinate dock door repairsMonitor racking condition and report damageSupport warehouse layout changesCoordinate installation of equipment, furniture, and signageAssist with facility needs during peak operational periodsOffice SupportManage office supplies and breakroom inventoriesCoordinate conference room setupsHandle employee facility requestsSupport onboarding and workspace setupBudget & AdministrationProcess facility invoicesTrack maintenance spendingMaintain service contractsUpdate facility records and asset inventoriesWhat you haveLegally eligible to work in the United States3–5 years facilities, maintenance, warehouse operations, or property management experienceBasic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systemsStrong vendor coordination skillsExceptional customer service skills; able to support both internal and external customersGood knowledge and experience of SAP, MS Office and MS TeamsExcellent attention to detailStrategic thinking and tactical execution skillsGood knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of IT technologies and productsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken languageGood self-organization and time management skillsAbility to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneouslyCan build trust, be assertive when required and shows initiative and enthusiasmResilience, and able to deal with stressful situationsBusiness and financial acumen with strong analytical skillsDemonstrate an understanding of product supply chainsCommercially astuteTeam-oriented working and thinkingWhat you can expectThere’s so much more to enjoy about being at Computacenter than just having a rewarding career.
