The scope of the approximately $1.66 billion contract includes the design and construction of six rail stations and approximately three miles of elevated rail guideway beginning just east of the Middle Street Transit Center Station and ending at the Civic Center Station, which will be located just east of the intersection of Halekauwila Street and South Street in downtown Honolulu. Project design is expected to begin immediately while construction is estimated to commence in the second half of 2025. Construction of this segment is expected to be substantially completed in 2030.Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional TalentDescriptionAs a Safety Representative at Tutor Perini Corp you will have the opportunity to facilitate job site compliance with local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. This includes monitoring subcontractor safety and reporting requirements, coordinating employee drug testing and conducting safety audits.Maintains a SAFE job site, monitors safety and takes appropriate action to correct any safety issues or deficienciesAssists supervisor(s) with job site start-upCoordinates with Project overhead team and owners, as neededAssesses Safety needs for training purposesSchedules and implements established training programsEnsures training requirements are adhered to and maintains all training documentationMonitors sub-contractor safety trainingEnsures Project(s) monthly safety statistics are reviewed for accuracy and forwarded to the Safety DirectorConducts new hire orientationsAssists the General Superintendent with the development and monitoring of the job-specific safety planCreates and distributes the minutes of the safety committee meetingsReviews accident procedures with SuperintendentMaintains MSDS and Haz-Com program for subcontractorsCompletes incident reports and distributes and maintains incident documentation and filesGathers toolbox reports from foreman and subcontractorsReceives and monitors subcontractor safety reports and responds when discrepancies occur in monthly man- hour reportMonitors and maintains OSHA Log 300Monitors all accidents and maintains appropriate file recordsSets up drug testing appointments for new craft employeesMaintains and conducts Safety auditsAssists in the development of project safety incentive programs with Project Manager and SuperintendentsDemonstrates a working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to disciplineDevelops and manages project safety incentive programs with Project Manager and SuperintendentsMaintains cameras and film supplyDevelops job-specific safety orientation and holds once a week for subcontractor personnelCoordinates with Division Safety DirectorAttends all pre-installation conferencesSchedules and chairs OSHA 10-hour safety coursesRelies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsCreative and resourceful in completing tasks accurately in a compressed time framePerforms all other duties as assigned by supervisorEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations to include health, safety, and welfare as appropriateRequirementsWorks night and weekend shiftsHigh School Diploma or GEDBachelor's degree in Safety Management, or related field, is preferred3 or more years of construction safety field experienceIntermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.Basic knowledge of Prolog and CAD preferredRepresents the company with a positive attitude internally and externallyParticipates fully as a team member, completing all requirements assigned in a timely mannerTreats all employees, clients, subcontractors and vendors with dignity and respectWorks cohesively with team members and all co-workers, displaying a positive attitude through behaviors and supportive problem solving and communication skills both orally and in writingActs in a professional manner at all times to maintain a positive work environment in accordance with Tutor Perini Corporation’s Harassment policy (CP 1.004) and Workplace Violence proceduresCertification: CHST preferredOUR MISSIONWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.OUR VISIONWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
