Senior Chiller TechnicianPrecision Hire has partnered with a nationwide HVAC rental company operating 30+ branches across the U.S., providing best-in-class cooling, heating, dehumidification, and power solutions for mission-critical facilities, major events, healthcare, data centers, and industrial applications.We are seeking a Senior Chiller Technician to serve as the technical authority at the branch level and the go-to expert for chiller maintenance, testing, and repairs within the company's owned rental fleet.This is not a building service role.You will work out of the branch and on temporary rental installationsnot on permanent HVAC systems inside customer buildings.What You'll DoLead maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of large-tonnage chillers and air-conditioning rental equipmentServe as the primary technical expert for chillers at the branchSupport temporary installations at customer sites (data centers, healthcare, events, industrial facilities)Perform pre-deployment inspections and post-rental evaluationsAssist with special projects, including obsolete part sourcing and equipment upgradesSupport fleet modernization initiatives (including remote monitoring systems)Mentor and train junior chiller and service techniciansCollaborate with operations and turnkey installation teamsMaintain accurate service documentation and reportsWhat We're Looking For57+ years of hands-on experience with large-tonnage HVAC and chiller equipmentUniversal EPA Certification (required)Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on complex systemsProven ability to work independently and lead by exampleWillingness to travel occasionally and support on-call rotationsComfortable using service software, ERP systems, and basic reporting toolsValid driver's license, clean MVR, and ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background checkAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. safelySchedule & Work EnvironmentFlexible work hours depending on project needsRotating on-call schedule (evenings/weekends during peak seasons)Overtime and double-time pay where applicableBranch-based role with temporary field support (not building maintenance)Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay with bonus opportunitiesCompany vehicleHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off (vacation, holidays, sick time)Career advancement and leadership opportunitiesStrong support, tools, and trainingWhy This Role Stands OutIf you're a true chiller professional who enjoys owning the technical standard, mentoring others, and working on diverse, high-impact temporary projectsthis is a role where your expertise will be valued and visible.
