The Supervisor will be the primary consistent point of contact and support for AmeriCorps Members placed at identified host sites in various site-specific roles, collaborating with host site supervisors to ensure full support and guidance for individual Members. The Youth Peer Support Supervisor will also collaborate with other program Supervisor and program leadership to compile data about the program overall, Member activities, and impact on persons served.Position Description and ResponsibilitiesSupervision & Support – Provide regular supervision for Members through individual meetings and collaboration with program leadership on biweekly cohort training sessions. Ensure Members adhere to ethical guidelines, program policies, and AmeriCorps and Talbert House best practices. Offer guidance on navigating challenges in interpersonal relationships and maintaining appropriate boundaries.Training & Development – Support Members in obtaining and maintaining required trainings and certifications. Provide supervisory guidance and coaching to support Member professional development, both in general and specific to their role at host site.Program Oversight – Maintain accurate documentation of training, supervision, Member hours, and Member performance. Collaborate with host site supervisors to align expectations and address any questions, concerns, or other needs. Collaborate with other program Supervisor and Associate Director on compiling data for reporting and assessment of program outcomes.Advocacy & Engagement – Promote the value of youth peer support within the community and among stakeholders. Foster a positive, inclusive, and empowering environment for AmeriCorps Members and the youth they serve. Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at host sites and in the community to empower further reach of the program.Job RequirementsCertification as a Youth Peer Supporter (or meet state criteria to obtain within the first 3 months of employment)Minimum of 2 years of experience working in behavioral health, mental health, social work, or other related fieldsStrong understanding of youth development, mental health, and recovery principlesFoundational knowledge of trauma-informed care and culturally competent service deliveryAbility to travel to host sites as neededPreferred: 1 year of supervisory or leadership experiencePreferred: experience working with AmeriCorps programs or other national service initiativesEssential Functions/Physical DemandsPositional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned.
