Maintenance Shift Lead

Eagle Foods products are marketed and distributed across all U.S. retail channels, including grocery stores, club stores and mass-merchandisers, as well as foodservice and export, U.S. military, and private label business.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the equipment at the plant to meet HSE, quality, and productivity standards. Including but not limited to the following:Responsible for overseeing plant mechanics during his shift, making sure workload is being distributed evenly, and daily activities and tasks are being completed in a timely manner.Manage maintenance shift schedule to provide maximum shift coverage.Owns PM, GMPs, CIL, and MSS, program completion for their teams, and makes sure they get completed with no overdue.Executes preventive maintenance work orders in accordance with the established plans, ensuring execution without any overdue maintenance for self and the team.Supervise subordinate work to make sure it is done correctly.Mentor technicians level 1,2, and 3.Delegate work and perform team coordination during the assigned shift to assign proper resources for optimal equipment performance.Provide clear shift handovers for the following shift and provide daily reports and reports as needed to your manager.Generate and document corrective maintenance work orders when work being performed is not specified under the current preventive maintenance plan.Document work orders (preventive and corrective) and corresponding working hours accurately, on a daily basis.Assist Maintenance Planner in scheduling workAssist Buyer in determining needs for equipment, equipment spare parts, supplies and request quotes to BuyerAnalyze problems with equipment and provide direction/ guidance on needed repairs.Ensure the plant and physical assets are maintained to the standards required to ensure the safe, quality, and reliable operation of the facility.Reports to upper management equipment stops greater than 30 minutesSupport redzone troubleshootingAdhere to all site safety requirements and focus on opportunities for improvement.Interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policiesChecks job sites for potential hazards.Work odd hours in supporting maintenance work, production activities, and plant shutdown activities.Prepares planned shutdown work.Utilize root cause analysis tools to resolve equipment problems.Monitor equipment failure metrics and react to negative trends.Ensure compliance with Food Safety and GMP requirements for the facility.Have a sense of urgency for and prioritize urgent calls.Have a sense of ownership for equipment.Foster a cooperative and friendly work environment and encourage teamwork.Notify manager or supervisor immediately whenever a major issue is observed during a repair, routine maintenance, and/or walkthrough.Demonstrate consistent accountability for productivity and team member assistance.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or managerProvides technical knowledge to help increase plant Process Reliability (PR).Provides project engineering work as well as recommendations for the following year's capital requests.Assists in the investigation and the introduction of new products and processes.Utilize root cause analysis tools to resolve equipment problems.Perform PM audits for PM compliance.Support equipment owners by assisting or providing resources.Ensures compliance with air, water, sewage, or other forms of pollutants per standards set by Federal, State, and Local governments.Ensures facility and equipment meet all OSHA and Local, State, and Federal regulations.Supports all Active SQMS pillars for the facility.Ensures that Quality issues are reported to Management.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or managerQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field (e.g., industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical engineering) is preferredFive or more years of hands-on leadership experience within maintenance and engineering.Knowledge of PLC, electrical circuits, and programming experience.Complete understanding of all plant systems (ammonia, HVAC, boilers, cooling towers, etc.)Computer software literate (Excel, Word, MP2, AutoCAD, Proficy)Experience with coaching peers to improve performance.Excellent communication and team building skills.Strong Root Cause Analysis skills.J-18808-Ljbffr
