Quality Technician 19hr Weekly Pay in Novi MI

Job Title : Quality Technician_ Pay Range _ : $19.00/hr** Shift ** : Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-3:00amPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork within the quality group at our Novi facility to support the Manufacturing, Production, and Quality initiatives for transmission systems and components.Utilize knowledge of inspection and measuring to perform inspections, verifying that the products are meeting design or spec requirementsKeep records and communicate non-conformances to support quality initiatives and projects according to customer requirements, TS1694 or/and IATF 16949Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.Approves in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESAnalyzing information, reporting research results, and documentation skills,Proficient in different measuring toolsProficiency in CMM programming and operation, dimensional metrology, measurement, inspection methods, and calibration.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlinesExcellent communication skills: verbal & writtenDemonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work amongst cross-functional teams.Excellent organizational skills.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Power PointWorking knowledge of Minitab.EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED requiredTRAVEL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.Regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
