Senior Microsoft Security Consultant💰 Up to $180,000 per year📍 Texas or Florida, hybrid with home and client site travelCompany & roleYou’ll be joining a fast-growing Cyber Security consultancy delivering security and transformation programmes. The business is scaling its Microsoft security capability quickly, with strong client demand and a steady pipeline of complex, high-impact projects.This role blends consultancy, architecture, and engineering. You’ll work directly with clients to shape secure solutions, design them properly, and then get hands-on to deliver them.Why This Role Stands OutThis is not a pure engineering role where you’re handed requirements and told to build. You’ll be involved from the early conversations, helping clients figure out what “good” looks like, designing the right approach, and then delivering it end to end.You’ll get variety across projects, real ownership, and the chance to influence how organisations adopt Microsoft security at scale. It is a proper consulting role, not just a rebranded engineer position.Key ResponsibilitiesLead client engagements across Microsoft security, from discovery and design through to implementationArchitect secure, scalable Microsoft solutions aligned to business and security requirementsWork hands-on with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender Suite, Purview, and Entra IDRun workshops, design sessions, and proof of concepts with client stakeholdersTranslate complex security requirements into practical, real-world solutionsTroubleshoot and optimise existing environments to improve security postureCollaborate with internal teams and act as a trusted advisor to clientsIdeal ExperienceStrong hands-on experience across Microsoft security technologies such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Purview, and Entra IDExperience designing and implementing Microsoft security solutions in client environmentsComfortable leading workshops, gathering requirements, and translating them into technical designsSolid understanding of identity, threat protection, information protection, and security operations within the Microsoft ecosystemExperience working with or aligning to frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or MITRE ATT&CKStrong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and security use casesBackground in Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise infrastructure securityRelevant certifications such as SC 200, SC 300, AZ 500, MS 500, SC 100 or CISSP are beneficialThis role suits someone who enjoys being both strategic and hands-on.
