We are partnering with a growing bank to hire multiple Information Security Engineers as they stand up a newly formed security engineering team. This is a strong opportunity to join at an early stage and have real influence on how security is built and scaled across the organization.The environment is modern and cloud-focused, and the team will play a key role in protecting systems, data, and infrastructure while helping shape security practices moving forward.What You'll DoSecurity Architecture and EngineeringDesign and implement security controls across cloud and on-prem environmentsSupport and manage tools such as firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM, DLP, and identity and access managementWork closely with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflowsContribute to secure design decisions as systems evolveHelp automate security processes using scriptingThreat and Vulnerability ManagementSupport vulnerability management activities, including scanning and remediation trackingAnalyze findings and help prioritize risk-based remediation effortsWork with threat intelligence to stay informed on emerging risksMonitor and respond to security alertsIncident Response and MonitoringInvestigate alerts from SIEM and endpoint detection toolsSupport incident response efforts from triage through resolutionHelp maintain and improve response playbooksContribute to strengthening detection and monitoring capabilitiesCompliance and Risk ManagementSupport alignment with frameworks such as NIST, FFIEC, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, OWASP, HIPAA, and GDPRAssist with audit preparation and evidence gatheringHelp maintain documentation for controls and processesContribute to reporting and risk visibilityCloud and Third-Party SecuritySupport security efforts across AWS and Azure environmentsHelp maintain strong cloud security postureParticipate in third-party risk assessments and vendor reviewsWhat They're Looking ForCore QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experienceExperience working in AWS, Azure, or bothStrong understanding of security principles and frameworksHands-on experience with tools such as SIEM, EDR, DLP, and vulnerability management platformsFamiliarity with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code toolsUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and secure development practicesKnowledge of networking, authentication, encryption, and access controlsScripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or similarExperienceApproximately 5 to 8 years of experience in cybersecurity or security engineering rolesExperience in DevSecOps, security operations, or engineering environmentsBackground within financial services or another regulated industry is preferredComfortable working across teams in an agile environmentPreferred CertificationsCISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, or similarAWS or Azure security certificationsWhat Stands Out About This Role This is a chance to step into a team that is just being established, where your work will help define how security operates going forward.
