Manufacturing Engineer - Pivotal Health Solutions

Pivotal Health Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Watertown, SD. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production. This role bridges product design and manufacturing, ensuring products are manufacturable, reliable, and meet quality standards.Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop, optimize, and standardize manufacturing processes for new and existing productsConduct DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) analysis to improve product manufacturabilityImplement process flow, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency, yield, and throughputProvide day-to-day support for manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting equipment and process issuesCollaborate with quality, production, and maintenance teams to resolve production problemsPerform root cause analysis for defects, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrenceSupport New Product Development by providing manufacturability input during design and prototypingDevelop process plans, tooling requirements, and production validation for new productsConduct pilot builds and optimize production readiness before full-scale launchImplement lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen events, and cost-reduction initiativesMaintain metrics for production efficiency, yield, and quality improvementsRecommend and implement automation or technology upgrades where appropriateWork closely with design engineers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product development and productionMaintain and update technical documentation including SOPs, BOMs, and work instructionsAssist in training production staff on new processes and equipmentPerforms other duties as assignedJob QualificationsBachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline3–5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipmentExperience with CAD/CAE software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and process simulation toolsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying shop conditions (heat, dust, noise)Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipmentAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and documentation skillsExperience with DFMEA/PFMEA and tolerance analysisFamiliarity with prototype development and pilot productionAbility to provide design-for-manufacturability feedback to design engineersNew Equipment &process research, ROI's, implementation ProceduresBenefitsPivotal Health Solutions offers a complete benefits package including 401K, paid time off, paid holidays and healthcare benefits.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
