Position Overview The Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for providing practice group support with emphasis on: · composing, editing, and preparing documents, correspondence and reports from general instructions or rough drafts · communication with clients, and · work on assigned special projects. The position requires performance of the full range of office support duties including typing, data entry, and filing essentially providing a variety of services which relieve an attorney of administrative details. The work requires well-developed verbal skills and interpersonal skills to give and receive information and to coordinate with other staff, clients, and the public. The ideal candidate is resourceful and organized, can use independent judgment to plan, prioritize and organize a diverse workload while maintaining multiple deadlines. Responsibilities and Essential Functions: · Compiles, compose and/or edit legal documents and correspondence · Provides administrative and other office support for staff attorneys of the practice group. · Communicate with clients and outside stakeholders to obtain information · Serve as secondary intake support (as needed) Qualifications & Skills: Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or comparable office/administrative experience Skills: Advanced computer skills Ability to work with a wide range of clients and stakeholders Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask Attention to detail Salary Salary is commensurate with qualifications and union scale Benefits include: paid holidays, paid sick, vacation and personal days, life and disability insurance, BCBS health insurance, 403b retirement plan with employer matching, health saving account, and some schedule flexibility.
