We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.Featured Benefits:Committed to Team Member Health: offering a robust team member wellness program.Retirement: Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions - starting on your first day.Mental Health Support: offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost.Career Development: Individual Development Planning that focuses on supporting team member aspirations.State-of-the-Art Medical and Training FacilitiesSonographer Specialty Job Responsibilities:Assists physicians in performing TEE, Fetal Echoes, and AV optimization studies by using departmental protocols to provide optimum results.Demonstrates knowledge of proper sterile technique and isolation precautions as they pertain to the various specialty procedures.Recognizes clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and takes appropriate action to resolve them and produce the most desirable outcomes.Demonstrates a thorough understanding of intravenous (IV) heparin locks and central line usage as they pertain to Sonography.Demonstrates proper technique for injection of IV contrast, or other test-enhancing solutions, in alignment with standards of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.Minimum Requirements:Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.License: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) with at least two sonographer specialties (i.e. OB/GYN, Breast, AB).Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart AssociationExperience: One year of experience in a hospital/healthcare environment in the performance of Specialized Diagnostic Medical Sonography.Preferred Requirements:OB/GYN experienceMFM experience
