Engineering Technician 2 - Oxnard, CA 12 month contract, $BOE Position is for an aerospace/defense client. _*United States citizenship is required. *__Previous aerospace/defense experience is strongly preferred._ Aerospace/defense client is seeking a Test Technician (Level 2) to join their team located in Oxnard, CA. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide test and technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks * Execute comprehensive component and system level test plans, procedures and test events * Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews * Analyze measurement requirements and equipment measurement tolerances * Define and maintain documented best practices for test processes and equipment * Contribute to maintaining and improving test equipment and infrastructure * Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such component and systems level test results and engineering design changes * Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis. * Maintains engineering documentation and reports (procedures and test reports) * Support internal and external customers’ needs. * Identify, troubleshoot and solve test problems and provide assistance to manufacturing, inspection and test engineering related issues. * Analyze data and provide reports in a variety of customers’ format. * Must be able to support working multiple shifts; ie: _1st shift 7am to 4:45pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight_ _*Ability to travel between the Oxnard, CA, and Goleta, CA sites and travel to support customers, and needed, approximately 10%.*_ _*Basic Qualifications:*_ _*High School diploma or equivalent and 2 year’s additional education and/or related experience.*_ _2+ years overall experience as a technician in the manufacturing/engineering field_ _*Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings*_ _Experience working with a Microsoft Office product and process documentation_ _*Experience working in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area*_ _Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed_ _*Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time*_ _Ability to manipulate equipment weighting up to 50 pounds_ _*Preferred Qualifications:*_ _*Familiarity with working around delicate spacecraft hardware an advantage*_ _Certification in engineering disciplines_ _*Some college preferred*_ _*10107*_ _Join the TASC Technical Services team, with 30 years of excellence in the staffing industry!
