Lead Analyst, Collections Analytics
Location: Wilmington, DE (Hybrid Schedule)We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Analytics team in Wilmington, DE as a Lead Analyst. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the implementation and optimization of collections, loss mitigation, and credit risk analytics across both our proprietary platforms and third‑party partner channels, including Debt Settlement Agency (DSA) and resolution‑based recovery programs. You will leverage your technical expertise to translate analytical intent into functional solutions, ensuring accurate data, scalable execution, and actionable insights to support business decision‑making.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with risk analysts, strategy partners, and data scientists to translate analytical intent into efficient and reliable analytical solutions supporting DSA and debt settlement strategy executionWork cross‑functionally with Collections Strategy, Operations, Finance, Product, Compliance, and Technology teams to support implementation, monitoring, and optimization of DSA‑related initiativesPull, validate, and maintain recurring datasets and reporting for internal stakeholders and external partners; support ad hoc investigations and follow‑ups related to those reportsSupport ad hoc analyses tied to strategy tests, Monthly Business Reviews, and second‑order performance questionsDevelop, curate, and document analytical views, controls, and validations to increase transparency and standardization across ongoing DSA processesPerform data quality checks, reconciliations, and root‑cause analysis to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trust in analytics supporting decision‑makingProduce descriptive and exploratory analyses to advance the DSA learning agenda and inform future strategy developmentPartner with third‑party vendor partners to support data evaluation, reporting, and integration effortsEnsure efficient delivery of analytical work with high quality and timelinessContinually assess and enhance the scalability, efficiency, and documentation of analytics, reporting, and monitoring processesRequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative fieldProven experience in analytics or software development roles within financial services, risk management, or collections environments4+ years’ experience designing and developing data‑driven analytical solutions using Python and related frameworksProficiency in Python, SQL, and object‑oriented programming; experience writing reusable, well‑documented codeExperience working with large datasets, recurring reporting, and analytical controlsExperience with working in reporting tools such as Power BIFamiliarity with version control tools (Git) and collaborative development practicesStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently while supporting multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environmentPreferred: Experience supporting collections, recovery, or resolution‑based credit strategies, including work with third‑party agencies or debt settlement programsWho We AreOneMain Financial (NYSE: OMF) is the leader in offering nonprime customers responsible access to credit and is dedicated to improving the financial well-being of hardworking Americans.
