Full Stack Java Developer

Velosys is seeking a Full Stack Developer. Candidates should demonstrate an advanced level of understanding of general systems concepts/computer science fundamentals and their application to solve business problems. Primary responsibilities will include: Work with project manager and business owners to understand the requirements and develop the application according to the specifications Understand and support existing systems, including resolving operational issues Troubleshoot problems, whether due to data or software, and work to rapidly implement fixes Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 7 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the financial industry is a plus! 7+ years of hands on experience and expertise in Java/ Spring Boot development and Microservices Proficiency in Angular 2+ or React, Typescript, JavaScript, SASS, and HTML5 Knowledge of proper RESTful API structure (proper naming, HTTP verb usage, etc.) Hands on experience with Github and CI/CD pipelines Experienced in PostgresSQL/Snowflake AWS S3 integration and file/ storage handling Experience with multi-tier architecture and OOD Exposure to AI-Assisted development tools and ability to work with structured prompts and AI-Assisted workflows Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
