Computational Geometry Software Engineer
Overview
In this role you will help build systems that analyze CAD models to guide manufacturability decisions and automate the creation of production-ready processes. You’ll work with domain experts across machining, metrology, and additive manufacturing to deliver high-performance geometry pipelines and robust production tooling. You will contribute across the stack, from core computation to API exposure, driving real impact in Hadrian’s factory-scale automation initiatives. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape the design-for-manufacturing software that accelerates aerospace and defense production.

ResponsibilitiesBuild systems that analyze CAD models to drive manufacturability decisions and generate manufacturing processesDevelop high-performance geometry and analysis pipelines in C++ and Python, including GPU-accelerated workflowsIntegrate with CAD/CAM systems such as NX, hyperMILL, and other engineering toolsOwn system performance and reliability in production—testing, profiling, and continuous improvementExpose internal capabilities via APIs and web-based tools for company-wide useEngage in process and product discovery with manufacturing and software experts on real-world problems
Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related fieldStrong programming skills in C++ and Python with production-grade experienceExperience with CAD systems or geometric modeling, e.g., OpenCascade or ParasolidExperience with GPU-accelerated computing in production or performance-critical environmentsComfort developing and exposing systems via web services (gRPC, SQL, TypeScript, Docker)Clear communicatorCross-functional collaborationPragmatic problem-solvingC++PythonCAD/Geometric modeling (OpenCascade, Parasolid)
