ResponsibilitiesWaste Water CoordinatorFull-Time Day Shift: Monday - FridayHourly Pay Rate Based on Skills and ExperienceDevelops an understanding of water train from entry into plant through final disposal to Municipal treatment systemResponsible for compliance with wastewater regulatory permitsWorks in conjunction with production and maintenance personnel to maximize water use efficiencyDirects the operation and maintenance of pretreatment plant systems and equipment Coordinate sludge disposal, chemical/supplies purchases and maintenance activitiesAssures the effective testing of wastewater and recording of resultsMaintains data management for treatment systems (water consumption, treatment efficiencies, sludge production, chemical usage)Maintains relationships with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies including chemical suppliers, sludge haulers/users, municipal officialsDevelop strategies for the improvement of treatment processes and equipment to economically meet effluent requirements as defined in discharge permitQualificationsPrevious wastewater experience preferred but not required. Certification a plus. Ability to manage complex issues while only referring the most difficult problems to higher-level staff.Excellent scientific, analytical, and diagnostic aptitude.Must have a mechanical aptitude for understanding and maintaining system equipment. Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.Ability to lift 50 pounds and work safely in varying climatic conditions. Ability to manage time effectively and make calculated decisions. Alternating working on off shifts or weekends as required.
