Steel Erection Estimator/Project Manager

Job DescriptionPosition: Steel Erection EstimatorCompany Overview: We take on the most challenging, high-profile construction projects and deliver safely, on schedule, and with uncompromising quality. Our capabilities include steel erection, precast concrete, tower crane services, and preconstruction engineering/design assistance. We believe safety, collaboration, and quality are non-negotiable.Now, we're seeking an Estimator to help us win and deliver the next generation of landmark projects. We are seeking an estimator to contribute to the team, or a experienced leader ready to take over the department.What You'll Do:As an Estimator you will play a pivotal role in shaping project scope, budgets, and execution. Key responsibilities include:Review drawings, specifications, and request for proposals (RFPs) to understand project requirementsPerform detailed quantity takeoffs (steel, concrete, connections, labor, equipment)Prepare cost estimates, direct costs, indirects, overheads, and contingency allowancesSolicit, evaluate, and negotiate bids from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliersWork closely with engineering, design, and operations teams to validate constructability assumptionsDevelop and present bid packages and proposals to management and clientsMonitor and maintain estimation databases and historical cost recordsProvide value-engineering input to optimize cost, schedule, and constructabilityAssist in post-bid work: reviewing subcontractor scopes, clarifications, and incorporating changesSupport change order pricing and claims as neededWhat We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)Strong knowledge of construction methods, structures, steel detailing, connections, concrete, erection sequencingExperience with Excel models, cost databases, and bid spreadsheetsExcellent negotiation skills and vendor/subcontractor sourcing relationshipsStrong verbal and written communication: ability to present to management and clientsHigh attention to detail, with ability to think holistically (schedule, risk, logistics)Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlinesWillingness to travel to job sites for bidding, site visits, or support (as required)Professional attitude, integrity, teamwork orientationWhat You'll Get (Benefits & Perks)Competitive salary with performance or bonus incentivesComprehensive benefits (health, dental, life insurance)401(k) plan with company matchingOpportunity to work on landmark, high-visibility projectsExposure to all phases of construction and opportunity for growthA safety-first culture that truly prioritizes employee well-beingIf this sounds like you and would like the opportunity to work on iconic projects, apply here.jake.lord@gogpac.com
