Industrial Machinery Rigger II

DFW Movers & Erectors, Inc. is looking for an Industrial Machinery Rigger to join our team in San Antonio, TX!An IM Rigger II is responsible for moving heavy industrial machinery, equipment and materials that cannot be moved through conventional methods. This is a skilled position that requires a high amount of teamwork and clear communication. Riggers set up and repair rigging at manufacturing plants and construction sites. They are responsible for aligning and anchoring the machinery, attaching loads, controlling the movement of heavy equipment, and ensuring the rigging is safe for use.To ensure success as a Rigger II, you should have in-depth knowledge of rigging equipment, excellent spatial awareness, and good communication skills. A skilled Rigger is meticulous with construction and always aware of safety on the construction site.IM Rigger II Responsibilities:Inspecting and preparing loads that need to be movedSetting, aligning and leveling heavy equipment machinerySelecting the appropriate rigging gearPreparing rigging equipment including beams, pulleys, clamps, and boltsInspecting rigging gear before usingMonitoring and maintaining rigging equipmentManeuvering loads using heavy equipment machinery and by handSkate a machine, rocking and blockingOperate a TraksporterOperate a torchEnsuring compliance with federal and company safety proceduresCommunicating with the rigging and construction teamBreaking down rigging equipment and conducting post-rigging inspectionsIM Rigger II Requirements:High school diploma or GEDAbility to pass a drug screen & basic physicalMinimum of 2 years working as a riggerFamiliarity with OSHA safety standardsIn-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machineryExcellent hearing and visionAbility to work at heights and in noisy environmentsPhysical fitness and ability to lift heavy tools and carry materials weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to work outdoors in harsh weather conditionsDFW Movers & Erectors, Inc. is an industrial moving company specialized in rigging, crating, moving, erecting, painting, and warehousing of heavy machinery throughout Texas since 1980.
