Required Skills: COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, Mainframe Responsibilities: ·       Developed and maintained COBOL batch and online programs to support core business processes, ensuring accurate transaction processing and system reliability. ·       Created and modified JCL jobs for batch scheduling, file processing, program execution, and production support across mainframe environments. ·       Designed, coded, and optimized DB2 queries, stored procedures, and embedded SQL within COBOL programs for efficient data retrieval, validation, and updates. ·       Worked with VSAM files for high-volume data storage, retrieval, and batch processing, including file definition, access path handling, and record-level updates. ·       Developed and enhanced CICS online screens and transaction programs to support real-time user interactions and business operations in a high-availability environment. ·       Performed end-to-end analysis, coding, testing, and debugging of COBOL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM applications to resolve defects and improve application performance. ·       Integrated COBOL programs with DB2 databases and VSAM datasets to support seamless batch and online processing of customer, policy, account, or transaction data. ·       Prepared and executed JCL for production deployments, batch job monitoring, restart/recovery handling, and troubleshooting of job abends and performance issues. ·       Collaborated with business analysts, testers, and support teams to gather requirements, implement enhancements, and ensure smooth delivery of mainframe application changes. ·       Supported system maintenance activities including impact analysis, code migration, production incident resolution, and documentation for COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS components.
