Immigration Attorney

We're hiring an immigration attorney to join our team at Francis Law Center.Our clients trust us with some of the most important moments of their lives — reuniting with a spouse, protecting a loved one from removal, building a future in the U.S. We need an attorney who takes that responsibility personally and is ready to drive cases, not just process them.What you'll do:• Carry a caseload spanning family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, and removal defense, with primary responsibility for removal defense cases. • Appear at master calendar, bond, and individual hearings before EOIR• Draft motions, RFE responses, and substantive filings• Counsel clients directly in English or Spanish — set expectations, explain strategy, document every conversation• Supervise and quality-check paralegal work before filing• Stay current on USCIS, EOIR, BIA, and Seventh Circuit developmentsWhat you bring:• Active U.S. bar admission in good standing (any state or territory — this is federal immigration practice)• Minimum 1 year of removal defense experience• Family-based immigration experience (I-130, I-485, I-751, K-1, consular processing) is strongly preferred• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred• Track record of independent case ownership, clean filings, and reliable deadlines• Genuine alignment with our mission: helping immigrant families stay togetherWho thrives here:We only hire A-team players — people who connect with our mission, not just the job description.
