Office Manager / Litigation Paralegal - Chicago Trial Firm ($65K-$85K)

Job Description We are a Chicago plaintiff-side trial firm handling employment retaliation, whistleblower, civil rights, and commercial litigation in federal and Illinois state court. Our long-time assistant moved on, and we need someone to step in fast. This is a hybrid role: half office manager, half litigation paralegal. You will run the day-to-day operations of a busy trial practice while supporting active federal cases and working on trials. What you will do* Manage calendars, deadlines, court dates, and filings across federal and state court matters * Cite-check briefs, assemble exhibits, and prepare deposition and trial binders * E-file in CM/ECF (N.D. Ill. and Seventh Circuit) and Odyssey (Cook County and the collar counties) * Track case deadlines under the Federal Rules and Illinois state rules * Handle client intake, scheduling, and communication * Process invoices, vendor payments, and basic bookkeeping coordination with our accountant * Keep the office running — supplies, IT vendors, conference room logistics, the worksWhat we need* Litigation paralegal experience required (federal court experience strongly preferred) * Comfortable in CM/ECF and Odyssey * Strong writer, careful proofreader, fast on a deadline * Discreet; you will see confidential client material every day * Self-directed. We do not micromanage.
