🚘 Hiring: Design Engineer 4 – Exterior Trim Engineer📍 Location: Newark, CA🕒 Work Type: 100% Onsite📄 Position Type: Contract W2We are looking for an experienced Exterior Trim Engineer to support the design and development of innovative exterior trim systems for a leading electric vehicle platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automotive exterior systems, plastics engineering, CAD modeling, and product launch activities in a fast-paced automotive environment.🔧 Key Responsibilities:• Design, develop, release, and launch exterior trim systems• Create complex CAD models using CATIA V5/V6• Support components such as side valences, sill trims, wheelhouse liners, spoilers, rocker panels, and underbody aero shields• Collaborate with studio, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams• Ensure gap & flush, manufacturability, styling, and reliability targets are achieved• Participate in tooling reviews, prototype builds, validation, and launch support✅ Required Skills:• 7–8 years of automotive exterior trim design experience• Strong CATIA V5/V6 proficiency• Experience with thermoplastics, thermosets, Class A surfaces, and automotive paint processes• Knowledge of tooling, aero integration, structural design, and vehicle packaging• Strong problem-solving and communication skills🎓 Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.If you are passionate about automotive innovation and EV technology, we’d love to connect!#Hiring #ExteriorTrimEngineer #AutomotiveEngineering #CATIA #MechanicalEngineering #EV #ProductDesign #AutomotiveJobs #NewarkCA #EngineeringJobs
