Lead Housekeeper

Lead Housekeeper Friendship is looking for Lead Housekeeper to join our Friendship Assisted Living team, located in Roanoke, VA. The Lead Housekeeper is responsible to ensuring all tasks assigned are completed during the appropriate shift and staff. They will serve as the first point of contact for any questions or issues regarding task assignments and will be responsible to escalation to the Manager of Housekeeping as needed.Shifts Available:Monday - Friday, First Shift, Working one weekend per monthRoles & Responsibilities:Maintains utility and storage rooms to ensure they are clean and organizedWash beds, mattresses, and make unoccupied bedsClean medical equipment to include wheelchairs and stretchersClean dayrooms; replace table linens and clean the floor after each mealRemove soiled linens and replace with clean; provide extra linens as requestedPrepare hampers daily for use with soiled linens and incontinent productsPrepare resident clothing for laundry pick up; after cleaning, place clothes back in the residents closetAttend all required in-service trainingEnsures trash is emptied twice on first and second shiftsAssist residents with extra bed linens as requestedClean shower rooms at the end of shiftReplace drapes and cubicle curtains as neededTransfer clean linens to unitsOversee daily assignments and other supervisor responsibilities if the supervisor is absentQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentHousekeeping experience preferredKnowledge and understanding of SDS manuals, infectious/biohazard waste and environmental protocolsThis position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day.
