Switch Engineer

Position Details - Title - Switch engineer Location - Remote (EST/CST)Type - Long Term Contract Required Skills & Must HavesLow to mid level switch engineer (4-5 years)Experience and knowledge of Arista Switches Ex: Experience with the visual configuration of a CRT session to understand things like V Lan 20 or if a mac address is connected or notSomeone with great interactive and personal skills Someone who is levelheaded and can handle chaos Day to Day:Virtually supporting the Arista switches through their Avaya call systemThe switches will show up / the vendor will plug them in and the Switch Engineer will help them certify the switches are showing up on the right V Lan and talk through any troubleshootingThe switches are self-provisioned this is more of certifying their networks and resolving any issues during setup Deployment of UPS - these will get plugged in, call home in the portal and show up as live or not live - this determines if the networking is communicating properly or notThis role is mostly Network Support and not Network Engineer
