Overview
In this hybrid, contract-to-hire role, you will design and implement robust Python-based backend solutions and lead global tech teams. You’ll drive OO programming, mentor developers, and shape system architecture to deploy new products and process improvements. You’ll tackle high-impact problems in data science and ML-enabled applications while ensuring quality through TDD and automated tests. This position blends backend engineering with ML modeling within a financial services context, offering meaningful scope and cross-team collaboration.

Key requirementsPhD or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field5+ years of experience as a data scientist with ML Modeling, Ranking, Recommendations, or Personalization systems5+ years designing and developing scalable ML systems for training, inference, monitoring, and iterationStrong background in ML/DL/LLM algorithms, architectures, and training techniquesProficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, PySpark, TensorFlow or equivalentProficiency with tools and LLMsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a teamproactiveability to work both independently and with teamsstrong advisory/mentoring skillsPythonSQLSpark
