Job Description
Adecco is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician for our client in the Portland Market. This position will help uphold product quality and food safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in monitoring production processes, conducting evaluations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across departments.Schedule: Mon- Fri, 10am-6pm temporarily. Transition to Mon-Fri 1pm-9pm.What You'll DoConduct sensory and basic lab testing on raw materials and finished products; document and interpret findingsMonitor daily production activities to ensure adherence to food safety and quality standardsPerform routine line checks and internal audits to verify compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirementsReview production records and maintain accurate documentationManage product sampling and retention programsSupport product hold and release processes on the production floorAssist with data entry, reporting, and tracking using internal systems and spreadsheetsHelp maintain lab equipment, including calibration and organization of materials for external testingVerify labeling accuracy and ensure proper documentation is in placeCollaborate with operations and other teams to address quality concerns and improve processesFood Safety & ComplianceFollow established food safety programs and workplace procedures, including GMPs and HACCP principlesContribute to a culture of safety and accountability across the facilityWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED required; degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field is a plus!1–3 years of experience in food production, quality assurance, or a related role preferredFamiliarity with food safety systems, manufacturing practices, and regulatory standards is advantageousAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced settingComfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data systemsWork EnvironmentFast-paced food manufacturing settingRequires standing, movement throughout the facility, and adherence to safety and ergonomic practicesPay Details: $21.00 to $25.00 per hourBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
