Senior Vice President, Operations

Residential Real Estate Portfolio | Multifamily | Active Adult | Independent Living Location: Philadelphia, PA (On-site) | National Travel Required Our client is seeking a Senior Vice President, Operations to provide strategic leadership across a growing national portfolio of market-rate residential communities. This executive will play a key role during a period of expansion, driving operational performance, strengthening leadership infrastructure, and building scalable systems to support continued growth. This is a real estate operations role focused on asset performance, occupancy, and revenue. Candidates whose experience is primarily in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, or clinical healthcare operations will not be a fit. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across a national residential portfolio Lead, mentor, and develop Operations Managers and property-level leadership teams Drive occupancy performance, leasing velocity, and revenue growth Monitor financial performance, budgets, and key operating metrics to improve asset value Partner with marketing and revenue teams to strengthen leasing strategy and market positioning Oversee operational initiatives, capital projects, and performance improvement plans Build scalable operational processes, policies, and best practices across the portfolio Conduct regular site visits to support leadership teams and ensure operational alignment Partner with ownership and executive leadership to support acquisitions, transitions, and portfolio growth Qualifications 10+ years of senior operations leadership within: Multifamily Active Adult Independent Living (non-clinical) Experience overseeing multi-state portfolios and leading distributed teams Strong background in occupancy improvement, revenue growth, and operational scaling Proven success developing high-performing leadership teams Experience in an owner/operator or third-party management environment preferred Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving NOI performance Yardi experience preferred Willingness and ability to travel nationally #IND
