Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Woodway, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,577 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/26/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: RN Step Down Specialty: RN Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role - Experience with HFNC and BIPAP - Competence in stable GTT management - Experience with post-operative care for CABG, AVR, and MVR patients - Familiarity with cardiovascular and vascular cases including AAA repairs, lobectomies, and CEA procedures - Knowledge of NSTEMI, STEMI, and ACS management - Experience with pacing, sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeding, post-DKA management, respiratory failure, and tracheostomy care Description: This is a 30-bed stepdown unit that provides transitional care between critical care and general medical units. Candidates will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The role includes monitoring patient progress, recognizing critical changes in condition, and taking appropriate actions. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care is essential. Candidates should prioritize effective communication and demonstrate a commitment to patient safety.
