Application & Systems Support Engineer (Level III)Location: Roseland, NJ (Onsite) Type: Full-Time Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 base + bonus potentialThe OpportunityWe are partnering with a well-established, growth-oriented law firm seeking an experienced Application & Systems Support Engineer (Level III) to join their IT team in Roseland, NJ.This is a high-impact role designed for a hands-on technical professional who thrives at the intersection of end-user support and systems administration. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the firm’s technology environment while directly supporting internal users across multiple offices and remote settings.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical issues, improving workflows, and helping teams operate more efficiently through technology.What You’ll DoProvide high-quality technical support via phone, email, and in-person interactionsTroubleshoot complex hardware, software, and application issues using structured diagnostic approachesDeliver both remote and on-site support to end users across the organizationSet up, image, and configure systems for new hires and internal teamsSupport key business applications, including Microsoft 365 and legal document management systemsAdminister Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra ID), including group policy managementManage user accounts, permissions, and role-based access controlsAdminister Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)Troubleshoot network-related issues (DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless connectivity)Support and maintain print servers and enterprise printing environmentsManage endpoint devices, including patch deployment and system updatesMaintain and improve IT documentation and system configurationsTrack and resolve support requests through a ticketing system while meeting SLA expectationsCoordinate with external vendors for escalations and issue resolutionIdentify opportunities to improve workflows through automation and new technologiesAssist with system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and new technology rolloutsSupport security initiatives, including vulnerability remediation and best practices implementationTravel to other office locations as needed for on-site supportParticipate in on-call support rotation (nights/weekends as needed)What We’re Looking For3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure supportStrong experience with Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 collaboration toolsSolid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless)Experience managing endpoint devices and patch management systemsFamiliarity with enterprise printing environments and print server managementExperience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar)Understanding of identity management, endpoint security, and IT best practicesStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to support non-technical usersPreferred:Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fieldRelevant certifications (Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, CCNA, etc.)Compensation & BenefitsBase salary: $65,000 – $75,000 (based on experience and qualifications)Discretionary year-end bonusMerit-based salary increasesComprehensive benefits package includes:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife and disability coverage401(k) retirement planPaid time offAccess to additional voluntary benefitsWhy This RoleBlend of hands-on support and systems administrationHigh visibility across the organizationOpportunity to improve workflows and implement new technologiesStable, professional environment with long-term growth potentialIf you’re someone who enjoys solving real problems, working closely with people, and strengthening the systems that keep a business running — this is a strong next step in your career.
